These doors are available from Door Maintenance Specialists Ltd in various combinations of solid insulated sections, partially or fully glazed sections, and an almost unlimited range of standard and optional colours.
Operation can be specified as simple manual push up, hand chain operated, or electrically-operated with optional induction loops, traffic lights, safety edge, photocells, external pushbuttons, or controlled access devices.
Utilising various track systems, the DMST400 can be installed as a standard lift up-and-over sectional door, vertical lift, pitched tracks, partial highlift, and special low headroom for installations where maximum headroom is required.
Specifications
All
variants of the model DMST400 are manufactured to the following high
specifications. Our use of only high quality materials is clear when
viewing the completed installation. The rich lustre of both our
standard and optional colours, smooth, quiet operation and bright
finish to the track system, roller brackets, hinges and side profiles
leave no doubt that this is a well designed, quality product which,
with correct operation and routine maintenance will provide many
years of reliable operation.
Panels:
610
mm deep x 40 mm thick composite panels manufactured using 0.5 thick
hot dipped zinc coated (to BS EN 10147) steel internal and external
facing sheets, each with a class 1 surface spread of flame when
tested to BS 476: Part 7:1971. These sheets are bonded together using
a CFC free foam with a density of 40kg/m3. The panel itself provides
a U value of 0.45 W/m2 K, this means that a typical 5000mm x
5000mm (w x h) door has a U value of 0.6 W/m2 K. A formed tongue
and grooved section joint incorporating a neoprene seal running the
full length of the panel provides excellent weather resistance.
Standard finish - embossed primer coating to both sides, range of
standard colours or factory painted to any RAL colour and oven baked.
Special finishes are available for harsh environments (details on
request).
Spring
Assembly:
Sectional
doors are counterbalanced to ensure the smooth running of doors,
using minimal effort. All counterbalance spring calculations carried
out by Door Maintenance Specialists Ltd ensure maximum life of the
door springs, (most typical doors are calculated to a minimum 40,000
cycles). The springs are high tensile helical wound steel which are
heat treated for improved performance. The springs are mounted on a
steel shaft supported by bearing brackets incorporating sealed
bearing rollers, this ensures free running of the shaft. Also mounted
on the spring shaft are the cable drums, these carry aircraft quality
cables which have a 7:1 safety factor. The cables are looped and
swaged using a hydraulic press to ensure the cables cannot become
detached from the cable drums or the brackets which connect the
cables to the bottom of the door panels. Spring break and cable break
devices are standard features on all DMST400 models.
Track
System:
The
door tracks are galvanised steel 'J' type (designed to give free and
easy running for bearing rollers). These are mounted on a galvanised
steel jamb angle for fixing purposes and stud welded to ensure the
most effective seal to the building as the tracks require adjustment
on site.
Electric
Operation:
Shaft
mounted 3 phase plus neutral or single phase electric operator
complete with manual over ride facility, built in limits and torque
limiting dual safety system. Internal pushbutton for both open and
close cycles. Optional safety edge installed into the bottom seal to
stop and reverse the door should it strike an obstruction. Various
additional options for traffic light control, remote, induction loop
or card reader access.
